OPI Skyfall Collection - Casino Royale and The Living Daylights

I actually got both of these as gifts, but from two different people.  I knew they would look great together, mainly since they are from the same collection, and I think the two people bought them while they were together anyway (Black Friday and all).

This is from the OPI Skyfall Collection, and I used two polishes for this mani:
OPI Casino Royale as a base and OPI The Living Daylights for an accent finger.

Wow, what can I say about Casino Royale?  It delivers!  Smooth, buttery application, almost no clean up (meaning no pooling or running), and not sheer at all.  I used two coats for these swatches, even under the glitter, and there was no dragging, no bald patches, wow!  It has a very squishy finish, not a jelly, but it looks like berry juice was squeezed on my nail.  Like I said in a previous post, I am not a diehard OPI fan because I have not liked their super sheer and runny formulas on their other colors, but boy do they know how to make a classic red and pink!  Those colors seem to be their strong suit, and this one is no exception!  If you want a berry color, this is it!

The Living Daylights is a classic glitter by OPI, but with a beautiful unique color combination.  I have never seen this exact combo before with larger hexes, and I love it on the berry color of Royale!  It has teal, copper, gold, and maybe some other ones.  The teal color really pulls it together with a pop among the metallic colors, making it stand out as a great glitter.  I used two coats on this accent nail.

However, my issue with glitters by big name brands like OPI is the difficulty of application.  When I use a great Indie glitterbomb, I can immediately tell the difference as they do not go sparse on the amount of glitter per bottle.  The bigger name brands and also some lesser quality Indie polishmakers go cheap on the amount of glitter per brush stroke, and I am honestly not sure why.  Do non-nail polish addicts like less glitter per brush stroke?  I personally get annoyed having to move the glitter around on the nail, potentially messing up my mani.

In conclusion, Casino Royale is a buttery application berry cream, and The Living Daylights is a unique glitter, but be prepared to move the glitter pieces around on the nail.
